The family dynamic between Ruth and Martin Ginsburg inspires Ruth’s House. Both of them defy the stereotypes of the time, balancing successful careers in their own right fulfilling their responsibilities at school, work, and as caregivers.
The History
The idea of Ruth’s House is to provide resources to families of two or one-income households to ease the stress of working and the responsibility of being a caregiver. Resources that Ruth’s House provides include: establishing a network of like-minded families who want to excel at work and in their homes, 24/7 child care, and rideshare to middle and low-class families. In addition, there are resources for counseling and education classes for expecting caregivers who are new to the role with access to a social worker who can guide them to get government assistance.
